Anahtar Kelimeler
With the increasing elderly
population, work accidents, rise in psychiatric diseases, increase in the
disabled population, and chronic diseases, the concept of rehabilitation has
gained more importance worldwide. Rehabilitation is a treatment method aimed at
enabling individuals to gain physical independence by partially or completely
remedying physiological and anatomical disorders. According to the severity of
rehabilitation needs, there are three types of protection: primary, secondary,
and tertiary. The rehabilitation nurse is an indispensable and significant part
of the team. Rehabilitation reduces the individual's subsequent need for health
institutions, shortens the time for the individual to regain health, and
improves the quality of life by increasing the capacity of the impaired organ
or system. The rehabilitation nurse generally has tasks such as diagnosis,
coordination, technical and physical care, caregiving, assistance in recovery,
emotional support, ensuring family involvement, and providing education.
