Psödotümör Serebri Sendromuna Neden Olmuş Çökme Kırığı
Anahtar Kelimeler
Pseudotumor cerebri syndrome is a rare
disease of unknown etiology, characterized by high intracranial pressure. Its
signs and symptoms are well defined, but its pathogenesis remains a mystery.
Most evidence suggests that increased resistance to cerebrospinal fluid outflow
is an important factor in the development of the disease. Genetic factors,
obesity, certain medications, sinus vein thrombosis, and conditions related to
blood pressure may play a role in the development of this disease. Our patient
presented with severe headache and blurred vision after a post-traumatic
depressed fracture. The patient's imaging revealed that the depressed fracture
in the occipital region obstructed the flow of the sagittal sinus. We aimed to
discuss this rare case, which caused pseudotumor cerebri as a sinus vein
thrombosis, with literature.
