This chapter provides an overview of
Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (AIS), an X-linked genetic disorder
characterized by impaired virilization in individuals with a 46,XY karyotype.
We explore the clinical spectrum, ranging from Complete AIS (CAIS) to Partial
(PAIS) and Mild (MAIS) forms. Furthermore, this chapter presents a series of
unusual clinical cases, focusing on the intersection of AIS with scrotal
developmental anomalies and discusses the multidisciplinary management
strategies required for these complex presentations.
